Clubs & Activities at AJHS

At Ahlf Junior High School, we believe that student success is not only built in the classroom, but also through involvement in enriching extracurricular activities. Our wide range of clubs and organizations gives students in grades 7 and 8 the opportunity to discover their passions, develop new skills, and connect with peers who share their interests.

🎶 Band

The Ahlf Junior High Band invites student musicians of all experience levels to join a dynamic ensemble that performs at school events, concerts, and community functions. Band members build musical skill, discipline, and teamwork through daily practice and performance.

♟️ Chess Club

Students of all skill levels can join Chess Club to learn, play, and compete in friendly matches. It’s a fantastic way to sharpen strategy skills, build patience, and meet fellow critical thinkers.

🎤 Choir

AJHS Choir offers students a chance to lift their voices in harmony while developing vocal techniques and stage presence. Choir members perform at school concerts, regional festivals, and community celebrations.

🎓 National Junior Honor Society (NJHS)

NJHS recognizes students who exemplify academic excellence, leadership, character, citizenship, and service. Members participate in meaningful service projects and represent the highest standards of Ahlf Junior High.

🧠 Quiz Bowl

Academic trivia meets team spirit in Quiz Bowl! Students compete in knowledge-based tournaments covering subjects like history, literature, science, and pop culture. Perfect for curious minds who love a challenge.

🤖 Robotics Club

In Robotics, students design, build, and program robots to complete tasks and compete in challenges. This hands-on club fosters creativity, engineering skills, and teamwork in a fun, supportive setting.

🗳️ Student Council

Student Council is a leadership organization that gives students a voice in school decisions and event planning. Members gain valuable experience in public speaking, collaboration, and service as they work to make AJHS a better place.

📸 Yearbook Committee

Yearbook Committee members take charge of capturing the school year’s most memorable moments. Students learn about photography, design, writing, and publishing as they help create the official AJHS yearbook.

Ahlf Junior High Athletics 

At Ahlf Junior High School, athletics play a vital role in promoting physical fitness, school spirit, and character development. Our athletic programs provide student-athletes in 7th and 8th grade with opportunities to build teamwork, discipline, and leadership both on and off the field. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or trying something new, there's a place for you on our teams.  Team tryouts are typically held in the spring semester.
